Children from Chimps will join us later in the year once they have settled into St Columba.
Children’s views are really important so I hope that you will congratulate your child if they have been chosen to represent their class.
COMPETITION
We have organised a competition to design new fabric versions of our Learning Value Badges. This is because many children like to wear the badges on their uniforms so that staff know which ones they have and which ones they are still working on earning. The metal badges can get very heavy!
For the competition, children may design each of the badges or just one of the badges – it’s entirely up to them. To remind you, the Academy learning values are:
Creative, Independent, Respectful, Resilient and Team Player.
The deadline for returning entries to us is Wednesday 1st November, 2017.
We will judge the designs on the following criteria:
Is the picture appropriate to the learning value being awarded?
Is it obvious to a visitor which learning value badge it is?
Is the design colourful and bright?
Badges don’t have to be round although please don’t make them too complicated as we will need to find a company that can create the winning designs for us!
There will be five winners who will each receive a creative learning value badge and five runners up who will be awarded some house points. Children who are either winners or runners up will receive a small prize too – probably some colouring pencils.
Please encourage your child to have a go at entering our competition. The School Council will be voting on the winners on Thursday 2nd November.
