Development Assessment and Resourced Provision
Within our Academy we have an Assessment and Resourced Provision (ARP) which we host on behalf of Hampshire County Council. This provision is for 10 children from Years R to 2 and they are assisted by three members of staff. Their class is known in the Academy as Pandas and the class teacher is Mrs Pynigar. Our Assessment and Resourced Provision caters for children with:
Whilst in the Assessment and Resourced provision, the children’s needs will be assessed and individual educational programmes and provision will be provided for each child. Other agencies such as Health, Educational Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy may be consulted and contribute to the children’s programmes or provision.
An aim of the Assessment and Resourced Provision will be to integrate children in the mainstream classes within the Academy wherever possible. The extent of integration will vary from individual child to individual child over time. Such integration will be detailed as part of that child’s individual educational plan.
It is anticipated that most children in the Assessment and Resourced Provision will remain there until integration into their local school. There will, however, be some children who will need to move on to a special school or other specialist resourced provision attached to a mainstream school.
