Lion's Class had wonderful fun on World Book Day.
Thank you to all our parents for their support. The costumes were marvellous!
This Half Term we will be enjoying 'The Circus' topic. The children will research and make fact files about the circus; they will listen and respond to Circus stories; write their own stories; compose Acrostic poetry and we will be holding a debate about whether animals should be allowed to perform, or not. There will also be opportunities to solve Maths problems in our colourful role-play area and try their hand at circus skills like plate spinning or hooping.
In dance lessons, they will be moving like clowns, tightrope-walkers and Strongmen. We will also be finding out about the history of the circus.
So, 'Roll up, roll up.....Let the fun begin!'
On Friday, Lion's Class had a special treat because we had earned all of our marbles. Each marble was awarded to us by an adult who thought that we were exceptionally well-behaved in some way. We had to earn thirty before we could have a treat.
We chose to ride scooters and bikes around the ks2 playground. Luckily, the weather was good and we had a great time!
Thank you to all of the parents who helped us to sew puppets today!
We had great fun following our designs and carefully using needles.
Some pictures will be added shortly.
13th November 2018
Thank you to all of the parents that came to our first Class Assembly today.
We had a great time performing plays, singing a song, telling you about Diwali traditions and sharing our homemade sweets with you!
We will be writing the recipe for Coconut Laddoo sweets in class this week. Please ask us for a copy if you enjoyed them.
Our Diwali sweets were popular!
